Jennifer Smith |
Jennifer Smith is an MA student in the Folklore
program at the University of Oregon, with an expected graduation
date of August 2006. Her recent work has included a focus
in religious studies with an emphasis on vernacular religion, or
religion as it is lived today. As another focus of her studies
she has chosen film as her primary method of research presentation
and has focused on improving her technique in both filming and
editing while constantly reevaluating the role that the filmmaker
plays in the lives of her/his storytellers and the impact on those
storytellers before, during and after filming. As of April
2006, Jennifer has completed two documentary films on the Rocky
Horror Picture Show, with a third, focusing on a Salem based religious
group, set to be completed in August 2006. |
